What is an MAGD Credential?

Did you know that the education and hands-on training a dentist has can be very different? All dentists complete a 4 year graduate-level dental school program to achieve a DDS or DMD credential and then must pass Dental Licensure Exams.
But there is actually advanced training available to dentists after dental school. The MAGD is the Academy of General Dentistry’s highest honor and one of the most respected designations within the profession. To achieve, it requires at least 1,100 hours of advanced dental training. A DDS MAGD means that the dentist has acquired the highest level of accreditation to be able to practice.
